Glasgow resident, Ronnie Fuemmeler, 79, passed away at his home after a long illness on October 26, 2019. Ronnie was born on October 17, 1940 to George and Veronica (Himmelberg) Fuemmeler. He lived his life on the farm that was first owned by his Grandparents, his uncle, and then his parents. He became the fourth generation owner. Ronnie was married to Rosetta Monnig on May 6, 1961 at Marion Hill Catholic Church. They had 58 wonderful years together. Ronnie is survived by his wife and 5 children; Jeff (Marilyn) Fuemmeler, Greg (Jill) Fuemmeler, Brent (Mendy) Fuemmeler, Julie (Glen) Galloway, Chad (Cori) Fuemmeler. Sixteen grandchildren, Margaret (Darren) Day, Lance (Denise) Fuemmeler, Holly (Chris) Baylor, Danielle (Dustin) Ray, Lilly Fuemmeler, Kurt Fuemmeler, Brett (Kayla) Fuemmeler, Crystal (Kaleb) Slivinski, Jenny Lewis, Samantha (Noah) Shannon, Nathan (Kaila) Fuemmeler, Autumn Fuemmeler, Veronica (Shawn) Nation, Jonah Galloway, Trevor Fuemmeler, and Taryn Fuemmeler. They also have sixteen great grandchildren. His brother Jerry (Jeanie) Fuemmeler and lots of nieces, nephews, and friends. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents George and Veronica Fuemmeler, sister Bernadette Gebhardt, and two brothers Leroy and David Fuemmeler. Ronnie was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed singing with the choir with family and friends. He enjoyed being a dairy/crop farmer and custom dozer operator. His hobbies were fishing, bowling, writing poems, playing cards, horseshoes, and playing pool with his buddies. During his long illness he and Rosetta enjoyed the company of family, friends, and all the caretakers. A funeral mass honoring Ronnie’s life will be 10 AM, Wednesday, October 30th, 2019 at St. Mary Church in Glasgow. Visitation is Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 5-7 PM at St. Mary Church. Rosary will be held at the church, prior to the visitation, at 4:30 PM. Interment is at Washington Cemetery in Glasgow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary Church or School, or Hometown Homecare Hospice. Final arrangements are under the direction of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service in Glasgow.
