Fayette resident, Dolly Campbell, 96, passed away at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO on October 14, 2021. Iona Frances Campbell was born February 17, 1925 in Howard County, MO, a daughter to the late Otto Charles and Iona (Heying) Frevert. She graduated from New Franklin High School with the class of 1943. On February 15, 1950, Dolly married the love of her life, Harvey “Snooks” Campbell, in Fayette, MO. Together, they enjoyed over 57 years of marriage until his passing on November 21, 2007. Early in her career, Dolly worked for Bobbin Heel Shoe Factory in Boonville. Throughout her career, she primarily worked as a cook at various institutions including, Farmers High Public School, the Senior Center and Keller Hospital. Dolly loved quilting. She also enjoyed going on trail rides, tending to her garden and canning her produce. Dolly attended the First Christian Church in Fayette. Survivors include her two daughters, Susan (John) Norbury, of Boonville, MO and Ruthie (Rick) Espenschied, of Fayette, MO; five grandchildren: Clayton (Rachel) Norbury, Ross (Kristin) Norbury, Logan (Jenny) Espenschied, Trevor (Victoria) Espenschied, and Brandy (Eric) Lembke; 10 great-grandchildren: Bradford, Sterling, Charlotte, Beau, Owen, Koda, Bailey, Nicholas, Dillan, and Leah; brother, Leon (Betsy) Frevert and two sisters-in-law, Helen and Annie Frevert. In addition to her husband and parents, Dolly was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy and three brothers, Paul, Donald, and Otto, Jr. A funeral service for Dolly will be 2 PM, Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette, with Rev. Harold Young officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, starting at 1 PM. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in New Franklin, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Association, in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service.
