Obituary for Cheryl Wagner, 72 June 16,1949 To December 30,2021, Visitation Funeral Services Interment Memorials Higbee, MO resident, Cheryl Wagner, 72, passed away at Moberly Regional Medical Center on December 30, 2021. Cheryl Jean Wagner was born in Chariton County, MO on June 16, 1949, a daughter to the late Leon and Alice (Kramm) Maupin. She graduated from Glasgow High School with the class of 1968. On May 24, 1968 she married the love of her life, David Wagner. They enjoyed over 38 years of marriage together, until David’s passing on January 9, 2007. Cheryl always had a strong work ethic throughout her life. She began working for Kellwood (American Rec./American Discovery) textile manufacturing right out of high school, and continued working there for over 53 years, retiring in 2021. Cheryl enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family. She loved her nieces and nephews dearly, and treated them like they were her own grandchildren. Survivors include her two children, Shawn Wagner and Jeannie Wagner, both of Higbee, MO; four siblings, Linda (Larry) Prentzler of Glasgow, MO, Dan (Jennifer) Maupin of Gilliam, MO, Dale (Angie) Maupin of Marshall, MO and Randy Maupin of Glasgow, MO. She’s also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Maupin. A private memorial service will take place at a later date, at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions are suggested to Roanoke Cemetery or the Wounded Warrior Project, in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home of Glasgow. |
