Columbia, MO resident, Deautre Lee, 50, passed away at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia on February 2, 2022. Deautre Dion Lee was born June 17, 1971 in Kansas City, MO, a son to James Edward Lee and Jacqueline (Cason) Smith. He attended and graduated from Glasgow High School with the class of 1989. Deautre worked as a laborer for several construction jobs throughout his career. He had a passion for classic automobiles and enjoyed collecting artifacts. Deautre loved spending time with his family and making people laugh. He was a determined leader and teacher and followed his own path. Deautre was very strong in his fight with cancer. He’ll be remembered as a selfless and humble man, that would do anything for anyone in need. He’ll be deeply missed by family and friends. He leaves to mourn his mother, Jacqueline (Ed) Smith of Glasgow, MO; fiancée, Tiffany Shaw of Columbia, MO; six children, Trevonna Cowans, Deautre Lee, Jr., Jerrell Lee, Abreia Lee, Tre’von Lee-Hill and Shayaira Mcquitty; three grandchildren, Kayden, Khyri, and Derek; brother, Dylan Lee of Glasgow, MO; sister, Jimie “Marshonn” (Cedric Juniel) Lee of Columbia, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Deautre was preceded in death by his father, James Lee. Funeral service will be 1 PM, Thursday, February, 10, 2022 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow, with Rev. Earl Howell officiating. Visitation will be an hour before the service starting at noon.
