Austin E. Robertson, 96, passed away peacefully with family at his side at the McAllen Heart Hospital in McAllen, TX. 

Austin Elmer Robertson was born October 29, 1929 in Bendavis, MO to Glenn and Martha Ann (Haliburton) Robertson.  He graduated from Mountain Grove Senior High School in Mountain Grove, Missouri.  He received a bachelor's degree from Baylor University and a Master’s Degree in Divinity from Dallas Theological Seminary.  Austin served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.   

Austin taught at several schools, Pattonville School in St. Louis and Salisbury School in Salisbury, MO.  He had been founder and pastor at Hope Bible Church in O’Fallon, MO and Sharon Bible Church near Armstrong, MO, where he retired. He also pastored Heritage Baptist Church in Moberly, MO. He continued to preach in various capacities until he was 92.  

He married Nancy Jean Bentley December 23, 1956, at Chariton Baptist Church near Forest Green, MO. The couple enjoyed almost 70 years of marriage. 

Austin is survived by his wife, three daughters, Margaret “Lisa” (Steve) Frazier of Columbia, MO, Laura (Darren) Brislawn of Orange, CA and Robin (Teno) Groppi of Oshkosh, WI, eight grandchildren, Sarah, Paul, Luke, Austin, Matthew, Zachary, Emily and Timothy and four great grandchildren, two sisters, Glenet Quinn and Alice McCall, and two brothers, William and Rupert Robertson. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lonnie, Huell and Ralph Robertson and one sister, Huan Campbell. 

Funeral services honoring the life of Austin Robertson, will be 2 pm, Monday, May 4, 2026, at Sharon Bible Church, near Armstrong, MO with Rev. Harold Young and Rev. Mark Gassman officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial with military honors will be at the Forest Green Cemetery, rural Salisbury, MO.
