Becky Cleek died May 17, 2014 at her home north of Fayette. She was 45 years of age. Rebecca Lucille (Holtzclaw) Cleek was born June 1, 1968 in Columbia, MO, the daughter of John Holtzclaw and Linda Perkins. She grew up in Fayette and attended St. Peter & Paul Catholic School in Boonville, graduating from that school, as well as from Fayette High School with the Class of 1986. She married Christopher Cleek on June 9, 1988 in Fayette. Early in her work life, Becky was an employee of Holtzclaw Antiques and Archery and of Fayette Lumber Company. More recently, she was an administrator for the Perkins Home in Fayette. In her leisure hours, she enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting mushrooms, nature walks, motorcycle riding with Chris and time spent with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Chris, her daughter, Christina (Logan) Ball, her son, Dakota Cleek, and her granddaughter, Hallie Ball. Also surviving are her parents; Linda and Jack Carter and John W. and Barbara Holtzclaw and her brother, John Layne Holtzclaw. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dorothy Quinley, Willard F. and Irene Holtzclaw and Paul Cleek, Sr. A memorial service for Becky Cleek will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, May 22 at the Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette with Rev. Jamie Page officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 PM on Wednesday evening, May 21 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pulliam Cemetery.
