Betsy Brucks 1935 - 2016 Betsy Brucks 80, a long time resident of Glasgow passed away May 28 at Golden Living Center. She was 80 years of age. She was born October 22, 1935 in Glasgow, Mo to Margaret (Neville) Brucks and Charles A Brucks. Betsy graduated from Glasgow High School in 1953. Betty Lou Brucks was employed with Kansas City Power and Life. She was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Mary's Church. She is survived by one brother, James (Lois) Brucks of Glasgow and a brother in law EJ Kressig. Betsy was preceded in death by her brother, Charles B Brucks and her sister Gertrude Ann (EJ). She is survived by 6 nieces, Susan Stuart, Sandy (Rich) Brown, Sharon (Dick) Prohaska, Sally (James) Reeves and Debra (Tom) Chesbrough. She was preceded in death by Sara (Dale) Sanders. She is survived by 7 nephews. Dean (Glenna) Brucks, Don (Jo) Brucks, David (Debbie) Brucks, Dennis (Barb) Brucks, Michael (Julia) Kressig, Kevin (Claudia) Kressig and Allan (Amy) Kressig. Betsy was actively involved in the lives of her nieces and nephews. She is survived by 36 great nieces and nephews, 24 great great nieces and nephew one great great great niece. Betsy had a group of close friends too numerous to mention. She enjoyed an active social life with family and friends. She loved her flower gardening, especially roses. She got great pleasure from decorating the horse out front of her home seasonally. Betsy had a passion for all things Irish. A funeral mass will be 11 AM, Thursday, June 2, 2016 at St. Mary's Church with Father, Alex Gabriel officiating. A visitation will be 5 to 7 PM at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow with a Prayer Service at 7 PM. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's School or Church in care of the funeral home.
