Cecil Yaeger, age 94, passed away at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia on September 22, 2025.

Cecil May Yaeger was born July 22, 1931 in Edgerton, MO.  She was a daughter to the late Samuel E. And Ora Lee (Miller) Yaeger.  Cecil attended grade school at Steinmetz, east of Glasgow, MO.  She graduated from Glasgow High School with the class of 1948.  Cecil worked as a laborer for McGraw Edison and Toastmaster in Boonville, MO for a number of years.  She also worked for the City of Boonville for six years.  Cecil enjoyed giving back to the Boonville community volunteering her time at the local Food Pantry and the Cooper County Hospital, where she logged 13,000 hours of volunteer work.

She is survived by one brother, Charles (Carol) Yaeger of Kansas City, MO.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Cecil was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack, Ervin and Bill Yaeger, three infant brothers, and a sister, Winnie Louise Nelson.

Following Cecil’s final wishes, there will be no public memorial service.
