Charlie Martin died at his home in Brunswick, MO on June 26, 2016. He was 53 years of age. Charles Allen Martin was born in Kansas City, MO on October 11, 1962, a son of the late Elmer and Harriet (Cason) Martin. He graduated from Glasgow High School in 1980. Charlie previously worked at Kellwood and Nordine factories in Glasgow. Charlie loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by two sisters, Gaynell Harris and Emogene Chambers, both of Kansas City, MO; five brothers, Elroy Martin and Delbert Martin, both of Glasgow, MO, James Martin, of Kansas City, MO, Albert Martin, of Glasgow, MO, and Maurice Martin, of Boonville, MO; he is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Aside from his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer, Jr. and two sisters, Addie and Florean. Services for Mr. Martin will be 2 PM, Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow with Rev. Earl Howell officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Burial will follow the funeral at Lincoln Cemetery in Glasgow. Memorial contributions are suggested to Lincoln Cemetery, in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home.
