Fayette, MO resident, Darlene LeNoir, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home on April 24, 2025.

Darlene Heloise LeNoir was born July 18, 1939 in New Frankfort, Saline County, MO.  She was a daughter to the late John and Gladys (Swift) Campbell.  She was a 1957 graduate of Slater High School.  On November 26, 1958, Darlene married the love of her life, Donald Alexander LeNoir.  The couple shared over 64 years of marriage.  Donald preceded her in death on July 13, 2023.  Aside from being a farmer’s wife and tending to the duties of the family farm, Darlene spent her career in the nursing field.  She worked as a certified medical technician at Big Bend Nursing Home in Slater, MO for 30 years.  Darlene had a passion for quilting and was involved in several quilting groups.  She enjoyed painting, cooking, gardening and tending to her flower beds.  Darlene was a member of the DAR and a faithful member of Fayette First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen (Ozzie) Gonzalez; Daughter-in-law, Diana LeNoir; two grandchildren, Dalton (Aislinn) LeNoir and Katrina (Hayden Oser) LeNoir; and three great-grandchildren, Clayton, Lainey and Creed Oser.  In addition to her husband and parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her son, Steve LeNoir, and a brother, Leon Gunter.

A funeral service honoring the life of Darlene will be 11 AM, Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette, MO, with Rev. Terry Sandwith officiating.  Visitation will be an hour before the service starting at 10 AM, at the funeral home.  A private burial will follow the service at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
