Daryl Shields 1952 - 2017 Daryl Shields passed away at his home in Fayette July 15, 2017. He was 65 years of age. Daryl Fay Shields known by many as "Chopper" was born January 24, 1952 in Fayette, MO to William Fay and Willie Maple (Wells) Shields. He attended Glasgow High School. Daryl drove a truck for Glasgow Quarries for 30 years and several years for Skyline Quarries. He also loved working on small engines and vehicles of all makes. He enjoyed fishing, hunting mushrooms and visiting and having fun with his nieces and nephews and family. He is survived by one son, Daryl Wayne (Ryan) Shields of North Carolina, two grandchildren, Hannah and Brandon, four sisters, Sheryl (Jerome) Schaefer, Denise Hubbard and Dana Hamilton all of Fayette and Diane (Paul) Day of Glasgow, one brother, Delano (Eva) Shields of Boonville, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be 10 AM, Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Boonesboro Christian Church with Rev. Roger McMurry officiating with burial following in the Boonesboro Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM, Tuesday, July 18 at the Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette. Memorials are suggested to the Kidney Dialysis Clinic of Boonville in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service.
