Fayette resident, Donna Barton, age 70, passed away suddenly and peacefully at her home on May 22, 2026.

Donna Sue Barton was born April 7, 1956 in Long Branch, NJ.  She was one of six children born to the late Mylan “Bud” Marble and June M. (Davis) Peel.  She attended and graduated from Flowing Well High School in Tucson, AZ.  On December 29, 1974, Donna married the love of her life, Hershel Dee Barton, in Tucson, AZ.  Together, the couple enjoyed 48 years of marriage.  Hershel preceded Donna in death on January 11, 2023.  Hershel served in the United States Army for 10 years, and with that, came many travels, domestic and abroad, for the newly married couple.  Donna received additional education receiving certificates as a dental assistant and medical assistant.  She worked sporadically in the medical industry until Hershel’s health began to fail. She primarily was a caregiver and a homemaker.  She took pride in being able to give her husband the best care as his health deteriorated.  Donna loved her family dearly and thrived as a grandmother.  She loved her grandchildren, cross stitches, crocheting, gardening, tending to her flower beds and her pet dogs.  Most importantly, Donna was a child of God, and was devoted deeply to her faith as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors include her three children, Tiffany Watson of Sedalia, MO, Dee (Jason) Hill of Fayette, MO, and Jesse (Amanda) Barton of Lakeside, AZ; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; four siblings, Denise (Bruce) Dush of Van Buren MO, John (Laurel) Marble of Oro Valley, AZ, Skip (Christina) Marble of Oro Valley, AZ and Chris Marble of Morrison, TN.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents, Donna was preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Marble.

Final services will be held privately, at the convenience of the Barton family.  Final arrangements are under the direction of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service of Fayette, MO.  Online condolences may be shared at friemonthfreesefuneralservice.com.
