Dorothy Marie Meyer passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Big Bend Retreat, in Slater, MO.  Dorothy was 90 years old.  

She was born in West Glasgow on September 29, 1933, the daughter of Bernard & Catherine (Haskamp) Meyer.  Dorothy enjoyed traveling across the United States and Canada observing the unique landscape of each region.  She worked diligently to maintain the farm and home.  Dorothy spent her whole life as a homemaker, caring for her family.  She was an avid gardener, enjoyed growing flowers, and raising farm animals.

Dorothy is survived by her nephew, Walter Leo & Lynn Meyer of Glasgow; three nieces, Jean & Ronnie Lessly of Fayette, Anna Rose & Larry Vukadin of Armstrong, Teresa & Dennis Gerlt of Fayette, 11 great nieces and nephews and 23 great-great nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by five brothers, Edward, Richard, Irvin, Vincent and Harold Meyer, and one sister-in-law Genevieve Meyer. 

A funeral service for Ms. Meyer will be held December 28, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow, with Rev. Terry Sandwith officiating.  Visitation will be from 10 - 11 a.m., one hour before the service.  Burial will be held following the service at Washington Cemetery in Glasgow.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Washington Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
