Dr. John Joseph Lochner III of Dayton, OH and beloved son of Jesus Christ, died Thursday, July 25, 2025, while peacefully at rest. Born July 8, 1955 to the late John and Kathleen Lochner of St. Louis, MO, John was the oldest of six siblings. He attended St. Louis University High School and graduated from St. Louis University Medical School in 1980. John was married to his loving wife Rebecca Jo McClammer for 42 years (deceased). He enjoyed a successful 40+ year career as an orthopedic surgeon in Dayton, OH with the Kettering Health Medical Group Far Oaks Orthopedists. John is survived by his siblings Sharon (Steve) Shaw, Jim Lochner, Paul (Molly) Lochner, Rob (Diane) Lochner and nieces and nephews Ellen, Amy, and Daniel Shaw; Paul, Caitlyn, and Patrick Lochner; Alex and Ethan Lochner, as well as sister-in-law Donna Lonergan and Darlene Beaman and their families. John also leaves many friends from the St. Louis and Dayton area as well the Buckeye Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America.
Services: Funeral will be held 11 AM, Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette, MO, with Fr. Joshua Duncan officiating. Visitation will take place a half hour before the service at the funeral home, stating at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Fayette City Cemetery. On Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 10 AM, a Visitation will be held at Ste. Genevieve du Bois, 1575 N. Woodlawn Ave, St. Louis, MO with a Memorial Mass following at 11 AM. On September 27, at 12pm, a Celebration of Life will be held at NCR Country Club, 4435 Dogwood Trail, Kettering, OH.
