Fayette resident, Eddie Chew, age 59, passed away suddenly at his home on July 9, 2025.

Harry Edward Chew, III, affectionately known as “Eddie” or “Fast Eddie” to his family and friends, was born December 17, 1965 in Fayette, MO, a son to the late Harold and Marguerite (Felten) Chew.  Eddie attended Fayette High School.  He worked as a custodian for Central Methodist University for 20 years, retiring in 2019.  When he was able, Eddie mowed numerous lawns for people in the Fayette area.  He loved cars, fishing, playing pool and cards, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughter, Kerdra (Josh) Loesing of California, MO; four grandchildren, Wesley, Brantley, Kayson, and Hudson; three siblings, Robin (James) Henderson of Pace, FL and Patricia (Kevin) Ivy of New Franklin, MO and Donald (Peggy) Lusby, Jr. of Boonville, MO.  He is also survived by special cousin, Harold “Turtle” Morris of Fayette, MO and numerous nieces, nephew and cousins.  In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Chew.

The Chew family will host a celebration of life from 3-7 PM, Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Schnell Hall in Fayette, MO.
