Emma Cleek 1932 - 2016 Fayette resident, Emma Cleek, passed away on August 29, 2016. She was 84 years of age. Emma Gene Cleek was born in Fayette on May 15, 1932 to William and Ella (Bishop) Raines. She married Paul Raymond Cleek, Sr. in Fayette on May 20, 1949. Together they enjoyed 64 years of marriage. Paul preceded her in death on October 31, 2013. Emma worked at the National Garment Factory, CMU, and as a caregiver for a number of years. Emma loved sewing, gardening, cooking, and traveling. Emma held her family very close and she will be greatly missed. Emma is survived by her eight children, Margaret Bollman of Moberly, Paul (Judy) Cleek, Jr., Rebecca Acton, Sara John, Mary (Roy) Widner, Rozetta Cleek, Anthony Cleek and Christopher Cleek, all of Fayette; two brothers, Kenneth (Pat) Rains and David Rains, both of New Franklin; special sister, Margaret Wilson of Moberly; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Aside from her parents and husband, Emma was preceded in death by two sisters, Cleva and Betty; a brother, Nelson; daughter-in-law, Becky Cleek; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services for Mrs. Cleek are 11 AM, Friday, September 2, 2016 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette, with Rev. Dennis Gard officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM, one hour before the service. Burial will follow the service at Pulliam Cemetery in Fayette. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Pulliam Cemetery.
