Former Fayette, MO resident, Ervin Wells, age 80, passed away suddenly at his home on December 8, 2022.

Ervin McAllen Wells, Sr. was born January 4, 1942 in Fayette, MO, a son to the late Joseph Ervin and Osa Idella (Stone) Wells.  Ervin attended Farmer’s High and graduated from Fayette High School with the class of 1960.  On July 26, 1987, Ervin married Donna Hiatt at the Assembly of God Church in Fayette.  Together, they have enjoyed over 35 years of marriage.  Ervin spent most of career as a logger, owning and operating his lumber company.  He retired in 2017.  Ervin was very active at the Assembly of God in Fayette, when it was still operational.  For the past 13 years, Ervin has been a devout member of the River of Life Church in Boonville, MO.  He loved singing, doing ministerial duties and coon hunting.

At the time of his death, Ervin was survived by his wife of the home, Donna Wells.  He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather to numerous biological and non-biological children.  He is also survived by his sister, Becca (Lyn) Garvin, of Armstrong, MO.  In addition to his parents, Ervin was preceded in death by a son, J.R. Wells.

A private family viewing was held at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow, MO.  A joint memorial service celebrating the lives of Ervin and Donna Wells will be held 11 AM, Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the River of Life Church in Boonville, MO, with Revs. Larry Fencl and David Hartgrove officiating.  Visitation will be an hour before the service at the church.  Inurnment will follow the service at Boonesboro Cemetery in Franklin, MO.
