Eva (Young) Kaneer 1922 - 2015 Glasgow resident Eva Kaneer passed away at Golden Living Center on December 26, 2015. She was 93 years of age. Eva Mae Kaneer was born on October 30, 1922 in Craig, MO to Bruce and Nettie (Stockwell) Gosseen. Eva attended Keytesville High School. She married Ivan Young on January 18, 1942 and he preceded her in death June 20, 1979. Eva later married James Kaneer on April 18, 1987. James preceded her in death May 21, 2000. Eva truly loved and cherished her family and spending time with them. She was a great cook, often preparing and cooking dinner for family gatherings on the holidays. Eva also enjoyed sewing, gardening and canning produce. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Eva is survived by son, Clifford (Carol) Young of Henderson, TX; daughter, Marilyn (Kirk) Biere of Glasgow, MO; stepson, Joe Vollrath; two grandchildren, Randy and Amanda Vollrath; two great-grandchildren; sister, Ida McCart of Pleasant Valley, MO; three brothers, Harold Gosseen of Kansas City, MO, Van Gosseen of Overland Park, KS and Dewey Gosseen of Moberly, MO. Besides her parents and two husbands, Eva was preceded in death by her sister, Marie Lyde. Services for Mrs. Kaneer will be 11 AM, Thursday, December 31 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow, with Pastor Glen Gutz officiating. Visitation will be held the evening before, Wednesday, December 30, from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service at Washington Cemetery.
