Florence Weber

Former Glasgow, MO resident, Florence Weber, age 89, passed away March 9, 2024 at The Arbors at Harmony Gardens in Warrensburg, MO.

Florence Hildegarde Weber was born April 7, 1934 in Meta, MO.  She was one of 11 children born to the late Phillip and Mary (Luebbering) Herigon.  Florence graduated from SS Peter and Paul Catholic High School in Boonville, MO with the class of 1952.  On October 17, 1953 she married the love of her life, Leon August Weber, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Boonville.  The couple enjoyed over 52 years of marriage until Leon’s passing March 9, 2006.  In addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Florence worked for St. Mary School as a cook for 40 years.  She retired in 2004.  After retirement, Florence continued to volunteer at St. Mary School and Church for several more years in whatever capacity needed.  She enjoyed doing yardwork, growing flowers, playing harmonica, reading and doing Sudoku puzzles.

Survivors include her daughter, Joyce (Ron) Brockhaus of Holden, MO; three grandchildren, Julie (Mike) Hobbs, Amy Brockhaus, and Danny (Melanie) Brockhaus; five great-grandchildren, Paige and Brady Hobbs, Hillary Sandusky, and Corbin and Case Brockhaus; four siblings, Jo Wolken of California, MO, Eugene (Emily) Herigon of Boonville, MO, Irene (Bernie) Wolz of Glasgow, MO and Mary Jane Gudde of Holden, MO.  In addition to her husband and parents, Florence was preceded in death by her son, David Weber, and six siblings, Eleanor, Donnie, Ernest, Ann, Clarence and Robert.

Funeral will be 11 AM, Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow, MO, with Fr. Joshua Duncan officiating.  Visitation will be an hour before the service, at the funeral home starting at 10 AM.  Interment will follow the service at Washington Cemetery in Glasgow.
