Obituary

Rural Salisbury resident, Floyd Linneman, age 88, passed away peacefully July 29, 2023, at Glasgow Gardens. 

Floyd L. Linneman was born December 31, 1934 in Forest Green, MO, a son to the late Edwin and Emilie (Rowher) Linneman.  Floyd was baptized, confirmed, and a lifelong devout member of Salem Lutheran Church in Forest Green.  He attended Salem Lutheran school.  Floyd enlisted with the U.S. Army in 1955, served two years, and was honorably discharged in 1957.  On September 22, 1962, Floyd married Bernadine Niekamp.  The couple enjoyed 27 years of marriage and under this union shared three children.  Bernadine preceded him in death on September 30, 1989.  On August 31, 2002, Floyd was married to Mary Lou Renfrow at Salem Lutheran Church, and they have shared almost 21 years together.  Floyd maintained a strong work ethic throughout his career as a lifelong farmer.  He served on various boards with MFA, was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved playing cards.  Floyd enjoyed bowling, and in his younger years, playing baseball.

Survivors include his wife of the home Mary Lou Linneman; three children, Nancy (Kirk) Fuemmeler of Bloomington, IL, Darren (Lori) Linneman of New Franklin, MO and Anita Linneman of Wentzville, MO; five grandchildren, Sarah (Kyle) Sieg, Leah (Ryan) Caputo, Amber (Dakota) Lewis, Daniel (Ashley) Linneman and Dustin Linneman; five great-grandchildren, Grace, Olivia, Nathan, Ethan and Nolan; four step-children, Jim Renfrow, Diane Stanford, Scott Renfrow, and Greg Renfrow; five step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.  In addition to his first wife and parents, Floyd was preceded in death by two brothers, Elver and Harlin Linneman.

Funeral service will be 11 AM, Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Salem Lutheran Church in Forest Green, MO with Pastor Noah Burgdorf officiating.  Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church, starting at 9 AM.  Interment will follow the service at Salem Lutheran Cemetery.  Please note, Chapel Hill Rd. off of Hwy. 5 to Salem Lutheran Church is closed for bridge maintenance.  Plan for alternate routes.
