Boonville resident, Gary Faust, age 60, passed away suddenly in Columbia, MO on December 24, 2022. 

Gary Stephen Faust was born July 14, 1962 in Hannibal, MO, a son to the late George J. Faust and Marion E. Nagel.  Gary graduated from Fulton High School.  He furthered his education earning bachelor’s degrees from Columbia College in art and history.  Gary held several jobs throughout his career.  He primarily worked as an automotive mechanic for Joe Machens.  He also worked as a machine mechanic for many area farms.  Gary enjoyed hunting, working with ceramics/pottery, and building hot rod cars. He was truly a jack of all trades.

Survivors include his daughter, Emilie (Tristan Riggs) Faust of Fayette, MO; his brothers, Tim, Ronnie, Ken, and Bill Faust, and sisters, Mary Faust, Rita Cadwell and Carrie (Bub) Fogle; aunt, Cathy Harris; niece, Kelsey Jasenowski, and nephews Aaron and Cannon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his foster parents, James and Connie Perry, and grandparents Irvin and Renelda Harris.

A funeral service for Mr. Faust will be 11 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2022 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette, with Rev. Bill O’Neal officiating.  Visitation will be held an hour before starting at 10 a.m.  Inurnment will be held privately, at the convenience of the family.  The Faust family also plans on having a celebration of life at a later date.
