Columbia, MO resident, Greg Brucks, age 64, passed away suddenly at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia on November 24, 2025.

Jerome Gregory “Greg”) Brucks was born in Fayette, MO on June 17, 1961.  He was one of five children born to the late Jerome Charles and Rosemary Elizabeth (Hackman) Brucks.  He attended grade school at St. Mary School in Glasgow and graduated from Glasgow High School with the class of 1980.  Greg was a handyman, and a talented carpenter, and enjoyed playing the guitar when he was younger.  He worked for Michael’s arts and crafts store for over 20 years as a framer.  He also worked for Hobby Lobby as a framer for approximately five years.  When he was able, Greg enjoyed being outdoors and hunting.  He was a devout Catholic and longtime active member of Our Lady of the Lourdes in Columbia.

Survivors include his three sons, Carson, Kelly and Kirklin Brucks; five grandchildren, Lawson, Baker, Charlee, Ashton, and Hayden; four siblings, Jeffrey Brucks, Joanne Rich, Jacqueline Katz, and Jayne Hoffmann.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service honoring the life of Greg Brucks will be 10 AM, Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Glasgow, with Fr. Joshua Duncan officiating.  Inurnment will follow the service at Washington Cemetery in Glasgow.
