Harold Lloyd 1924 - 2015 Long time Howard County farmer Harold Lloyd passed away in Latham, MO March 14, 2015. He was 90 years of age. Harold Raymond Lloyd was born August 9, 1924, in Harrisburg, MO to Herman H. and Ethel P. (Purcell) Lloyd. He graduated from Fayette High School in 1942 and thereafter served his country as a member of the United States Army during WW II in the Philippines and Korea. Harold Lloyd was united in marriage to Frances Phillips on March 4, 1951, in Fayette, MO. Mrs. Lloyd preceded him in death on May 13, 2008. Harold farmed most of his life and also enjoyed raising draft horses and mules. He attended Grace Fellowship Church. Mr. Lloyd is survived by one son, Steve Lloyd and his wife, Fran, of Pilot Grove, MO, and one daughter, Karen Hilgedick, of Columbia. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Shane Hilgedick, Jenny Fuemmeler and Kyle Lloyd, eight great grandchildren, and his brother, Charles Lloyd, of Fayette. Along with his parents and wife he was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. Funeral services for Harold Lloyd will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette with Rev. Gary Wrisberg officiating Burial will follow at Fayette City Cemetery with Kyle Lloyd, Shane Hilgedick, Troy Fuwemmeler, Gregory Lloyd, Dalton Fuemmeler, and Cody Hilgedick serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to a charity of your choice.
