Fayette resident, Jeanne Chandler, age 73, passed away at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO on December 6, 2023.

Jeanne Marie Chandler was born in Kansas City, MO on October 23, 1950, the daughter of the late Marjorie (Kinnamon) Young.  Jeanne attended and graduated from Fayette High School with the class of 1968.  On May 15, 1971 Jeanne married the love of her life, Don Carson Chandler in Fayette, MO.  Together they’ve enjoyed over 52 years marriage.  Jeanne’s primary employment was with social services.  She worked as a case manager for Randolph County Family Support in Moberly for a number of years.  In her spare time, Jeanne loved sewing and knitting.  She also enjoyed volunteering at the Coat Room.  Jeanne, along with her husband Don, were members of Cowboy Bible Church in Higbee, MO.

Survivors include her husband, Don Carson Chandler, of Fayette, MO; two daughters, Sadie Marie Chandler, PhD, of Fayette, MO and Elizabeth Chandler-Bagby, of Columbia, MO; two siblings, Marjorie Lawson of Gilliam, MO and Cecil Warick of Kansas City, MO; brothers-in-law, Dr. Richard Simpson and Jerry Benton Chandler; and sister-in-law Mary Kay Chandler.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her mother, Marjorie Young, Jeanne was preceded in death by sister, Patricia Crowley, infant son Richard Carson Chandler, son, Dr. Benton Lee Chandler, father-in-law, Carson Lee Chandler, mother-in-Law, Lucille B. Wheeler Chandler, and sister-in-Law, Lea Simpson.

A memorial service honoring the life of Mrs. Chandler will be 2 PM, Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Cowboy Bible Church in Higbee, MO, with Rev. Jamie Page and Mr. Brian Terrell officiating.  Visitation will be an hour before the service at the church starting at 1 PM.
