Jeff Browning 1956 - 2015 Glasgow resident, Jeff Browning passed away at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia October 2, 2015. He was 59 years of age. Kenneth Jeffrey Browning was born March 2, 1956 in Boonville, MO to Rev. Kenneth "Red" and Lillian (Jackson) Browning. Jeff graduated from Glasgow High School in 1974. After graduation, Jeff enlisted and served in the U.S. Airforce as a construction equipment operator. He had worked at Ruether Chevrolet, Mid Mo Auto Savage, John Rectors, ELS and was most recently working at Car Quest in Glasgow. Jeff's true passion was for cars, especially fast Chevy's. He had a wealth of knowledge for all things auto, and in his spare time you would often find him working on and tinkering with vehicles. Jeff will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Lil of Glasgow; two sisters, Kristi (Eric) Colvin of Glasgow and Vici (Kevin) Littrell of Glasgow; five nieces, Sara Massie, Claire Finkel, Laurie Lee, Kelsey Grimm and Taylor Colvin; and one nephew, Mitchell Littrell. Jeff is also survived by many friends in the Glasgow and surrounding communities. Jeff was preceded in death by his father on June 28, 2005. Funeral services will be 2 PM, Tuesday, October 6 at Glasgow First Baptist Church with Rev. David Griffith officiating. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5 to 7 PM at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow. Burial with military honors will be in Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Glasgow Lion's Club or Washington Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.
