New Franklin resident, Jeff Johnson, age 62, passed away suddenly at his home on May 20, 2023.

Jeffry Joseph Johnson was born June 28, 1960 in Columbia, MO, a son to the late James L. and Marilyn F. (Newton) Johnson.  Jeff attended and graduated from Glasgow High School with the class of 1978.  Jeff spent most of his career building and installing custom fencing.  On August 19, 2006, he married Susan McGuire at St. Mary Catholic Church in Glasgow, MO.  Jeff was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed tending to his garden and reading.  He loved his pets and cherished time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Susan Johnson; step-daughter, Sarah (Brandon Hauber) McGuire of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, Savannah, Kieli, Mya and Zoe; three sisters, Cathy (Dennis) Daniels of Fayette, MO, Deanne (Dale) Simmons of Wamego, KS and Liz (Robby) Felton of Fayette, MO.  Jeff is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life gathering will be held 5-7 PM, Monday, May 29, 2023, at Schnell Hall in Fayette.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service, to help assist in funeral expenses.
