Jimmie Parker 1946 - 2015 Fayette resident Jimmie Parker passed away September 9, 2015 at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia. He was 69 years of age. Jimmie Dale Parker was born May 31, 1946 in Elvins, MO to Levi and Farona (Camden) Parker. He attended Elvins Public School in St. Francois County. Jimmie served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a sergeant in the 20th Engineer Brigade. February 9, 1974 in Fayette, he married Helen Fay Gibson. Jimmie had worked for Carroll Ball, Dart Transport, Waller Trucking and Terra Chemical driving a truck. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, collecting and building model cars and being with his family, especially his grandchildren. Jimmie is survived by his wife, Helen of the home, one son, Kevin (Arianna) Parker, two daughters, Jeannie (Dale) Smiley and Jannie (Tim) Moore all of Fayette, two brothers, Harold (Judy) Parker of Fairbault, MN and Danny Parker of Branson, MO, two sisters, Annita (Carroll) Moore and Carolyn Lacy, seven grandchildren, Jimmy, Russell, Krista, Billy, Shelia, Monica and Desire and one great grandson, Brandon. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters. A memorial service with military honors will be 11 AM, Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at the Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette with Rev. Don Arnold officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service, 10 to 11 AM. Memorials are suggested to Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service.
