June Redenius 1935 - 2015 Fayette resident June Redenius passed away September 30, 2015 at University Hospital in Columbia as a result of a stroke. She was 80 years of age. June Marie Redenius was born June 10, 1935, in Pontiac, IL to Raymond T. and Marie (Ommen) Magee. She married DeVere Bryan Redenius August 8, 1954 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cullom, IL. He preceded her in death November 3, 1998. June had worked part time at the Post Office in Harrisburg, MO. She lived her life on the farm and enjoyed animals of all varieties, gardening and working in her beautiful flower beds. June loved sports and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal's fan. She also spent many hours reading, baking, crocheting, painting and making things for her family that she loved dearly. June especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and was devoted to them. She is survived by her children, Randy (Kathy) Redenius, Victor Redenius all of Fayette, MO, Candy Copeland of Glasgow, Dee Redenius of Bellefontaine, OH, five grandchildren, Amber Sulltrop, Jessica Barney, Janelle Copeland, Jennifer Copeland and Cody Copeland, nine great grandchildren; one sister, Jeanette Thorndyke and one brother, Roger Magee. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathleen Hamilton and Nancy Fecht and a brother, Harry Magee, brother-in-laws, Neal Hamilton, Wayne Fecht and Everette Thorndyke and two great grandsons. Funeral services for Mrs. Redenius will be 2 PM, Sunday, October 4 at the Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette with Rev. Karen Alden officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, 1 to 2 PM. Burial will be in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Fayette City Library in care of the funeral home.
