Sue Souders, age 78, passed away at the Riverdell Care Center in Boonville, MO, on December 10, 2025.

Karen Sue Souders, affectionately known as “Sue” to her family and friends, was born in Fayette, MO on October 1, 1947.  She was one of two girls born to the late Richard and Helen (Owens) Frisby.  Sue was a graduate of Fayette High School.  She worked in housekeeping for a number of years for Keller Hospital and Central Methodist University.  She then worked in women’s retail sales at Walmart in Boonville for over 17 years, which was a job she truly enjoyed.  On September 17, 2007, she married Kenny Souders at D.C. Rogers Lake, outside of Fayette.  Karen Sue had a big heart.  She’d do anything for anybody, and give the shirt off her back to lend a helping hand to those in need.  She also had a great love and care for all animals, and really enjoyed living out in the country.

Survivors include her husband, Kenny Souders, of Fayette, MO; three children, Jeff Cramer, of Fayette, MO, Laurie Cramer, of Fayette, MO and Rick Cramer, of Glasgow, MO; two step-children, Sherry Wells, of Jefferson City, MO and Ronnie Souders, Fayette, MO; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Judy (Paul) Cleek, of Fayette, MO.

A memorial service honoring the life of Sue Souders will be 10 AM, Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette, with Rev. Ken Stacey officiating.  Inurnment will be held privately, at the convenience of the family at Pulliam Cemetery.
