Fayette resident and lifelong farmer, Kevin Strodtman, age 56, passed peacefully at his home following a three-year battle with cancer.

Kevin Joe Strodtman was born July 17, 1968 in Fayette, MO.  He was one of four sons born to the late Ralph Glenn and Martha Ann (Yung) Strodtman.  He attended St. Mary School in Glasgow and graduated from Glasgow High School with the class of 1986.  On September 1, 2007, Kevin married Angie Breihan at Les Bourgeois Winery in Rocheport, MO.

Kevin was committed to his work and family.  He had a strong work ethic, farming cattle and row crop most of his life, and handling all the jobs that come with operating a farm.  Kevin loved the outdoors, spending time in nature and fishing.  He truly enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his grandson, Weston.  Kevin also loved taking trips and traveling with his wife, Angie. 

Survivors include his wife of the home, Angie Strodtman; two daughters, Sam (Zane) Volkmann of Fayette, MO and Haleigh (Kyler) Monnig of Glasgow, MO; grandson, Weston Volkmann; expecting granddaughter on the way, Kyleigh Martha Ann Monnig; two brothers, Jim (Christy) Strodtman of Glasgow, MO and Jeff (Lori) Strodtman of Fayette, MO; and a sister-in-law, Leasa Strodtman of Glasgow, MO.  In addition to his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Glenn Strodtman.

A memorial service honoring the life of Kevin Strodtman will be 2 PM, Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette, with Rev. Harold Young officiating.  Visitation will be held before the service, from 11:30 AM until time of the service at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
