Linda Hilderbrand passed away August 4, 2025 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. Two days prior to her passing, Linda celebrated her 80th birthday, where she had a wonderful time, surrounded by family and friends.
Linda Lee (May) Hilderbrand was born August 2, 1945, in Howard County, MO. She was a 1963 graduate of Armstrong High School. Later in life, Linda attended Boonslick AVTS, earing her Licensed Practical Nursing certificate, which was an accomplishment she was truly proud of. On April 5, 1969, Linda married the love of her life, Franklin Gene “Fuzzy” Hilderbrand in Fayette, MO. The couple shared over 36 years together until Fuzzy’s passing on May 1, 2005. Linda was a homemaker and enjoyed tending to all the responsibilities of creating a loving home. Most importantly, Linda was a child of God, and her faith was near and dear to her. Linda, along with her husband, were a part of the original founding members of Faith Family Church. She was a devout member of Faith Family Church, staying active among the prayer team and being a Kids Hope mentor.
Survivors include her two sons, John Hilderbrand of Kansas City, MO and Brian (Amy) Hilderbrand of Olathe, KS; and four grandchildren, Emily, Ian, Seth and Levi. In addition to her husband, Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie (May) Spencer.
A celebration of life memorial service will be 11 AM, Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Faith Family Church in Fayette, MO, with Rev. Jamie Page officiating. Private inurnment will take place at the Boonesboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to FFC – Kids Hope USA, and may be addressed to Faith Family Church, 710 Hwy. 240, Fayette, MO 65248. Final arrangements are under the direction of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service of Fayette.
