Linda Sanders Obituary

Linda Sanders passed away peacefully on January 23, at her home in Holts Summit, MO. She was 75 years of age.

On September 5, 1950, Linda Joan Leduc was born to Norman Jeffrey Leduc and Norma Chloe Beebe in Southbridge, Massachusetts. She graduated from high school in Bowman, ND in 1968. She earned her nursing degree from Lincoln University, Jefferson City, MO, in December 1996, which was a goal and dream of Linda. On September 30, 1997, Linda married Clifford Wayne Sanders in Glasgow, MO. The couple resided in the Glasgow community until the summer of 2003, then relocated to the Holts Summit, MO area to be closer to family. After receiving her nursing license Linda worked as a school nurse for the Glasgow, Fayette and New Franklin school districts, for various hospitals in Boonville and Jefferson City, MO, along with home health in Jefferson City, MO. While living in Glasgow, Linda became a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Forest Green, MO, and upon moving to Holts Summit, MO, attended Grace Lutheran Church.

While living in Glasgow Linda got the “antiquing” bug from her sister-in-law Nancy Sanders. She found such pleasure in attending auctions, flea markets and “junk” stores searching for that lost treasure. After which, she would re-sell her gems in her booth at the Midway Antique Mall, or on E-Bay. Linda also volunteered alongside her husband at Calvary’s Gift in Jefferson City. Linda enjoyed traveling with her husband within the States and abroad to London and Ireland. She especially enjoyed trips with grandchildren to Disney World and the various beaches in Florida. She truly cherished time spent with family and friends.

Linda is survived by her husband Clifford of the home, daughter Joni (Brad) Wansing Lake Ozark, MO; son Christopher (Sherri) Cox, Jefferson City, MO; stepson Ross (Stacey) Sanders, Columbia, MO; and stepson Aaron Sanders, Ballwin, MO. Four grandchildren: Amy (Jake) Burgart, Longmont, CO; Steven (Raven) Wansing, Versailles, MO; Tucker Cox, New Bloomfield, MO, and Hannah Cox, Jefferson City, MO. Three great-grandchildren: Leo and Olive Wansing and Liam Burgart. Linda is also survived by one sister Laurel Foust, Ludow, SD; and two brothers Alliston Dobson, Clifton, CO and Aldon Dobson, Grain Valley AZ, along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Dr. Norman Dobson, Rolla, MO and one sister Laurette McGee, Bowman, ND.
