Linda Vroman

Long time Glasgow resident, Linda Vroman, age 76, passed away at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia on May 18, 2023.

Linda Scott Vroman was born October 1, 1946 in Columbia, MO to Paxton and Charlene (Dalstein) Keeley.  She graduated from high school in Chillicothe, MO.  Linda continued her education and received a bachelor’s degree in English from Central Methodist College.  On January 18, 1969, Linda married Dr. Kenneth Vroman.  The couple have been married for 54 years. When she was able, Linda was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Missouri Veterinary Medical Association Auxiliary and the Glasgow Study Club. She worked as an elementary aide for several years and helped with school activities in which her two sons participated in.  In her spare time, Linda enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends. She was often seen walking and she loved her cats.  She and her family enjoyed many road trips around the country.

She is survived by her husband of the home, Dr. Kenneth Vroman; two sons, Mathew (Diane) Vroman of Akutan, AK and Paxton (Casey) Vroman of Fayette, MO; six grandchildren, Mattie, Betty, Anne, Marie, Haylee and Chuck; one niece, Spencer (Andy) Ponto and great-niece and nephew, Jordan and AJ.  In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Nicholas and Rose Keeley.

Visitation will be 5-7 PM, Thursday evening, May 25, 2023 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow.  A funeral service honoring Linda’s life will be 11 AM, Friday, May 26, 2023 at the funeral home, with Rev. Mathew Vroman officiating. Interment will follow the service at Washington Cemetery.
