Lonnie Dewey 1955 - 2014 Fayette resident Lonnie Dewey passed away at his home November 8, 2014. He was 59 years of age. Lonnie Dale Dewey was born October 13, 1955 in Kansas City, MO to Robert and Martha (Lynn) Jones. Lonnie married Virginia Ewens August 24, 2003. Lonnie had worked as a Crane Operator for Parsec in Kansas City for a number of years. He later worked for the Perkins home in Fayette for several years. He enjoyed the outdoors especially going on float trips on the Eleven Point River. He was a Kansas City Chiefs fan and seldom missed a game. Lonnie loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by all that knew him. Survivors include his wife of the home, three children, Jessica Lawson of Fayette, Matthew (Kodie) Downing and Tiffany (Chris) Downing all of Columbia, four grandchildren, Whitney, Miley, Nikita and Austin, one brother Ronald Jones and one sister, Yolonda Prettyman. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Randy and Chris Jones. A memorial service with military honors will be 11 AM, Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette with Rev. Jamie Page officiating.
