Fayette resident, Maggie Chew, passed away at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO on February 17, 2017. She was 73 years of age. Marguerite Ann Chew was born in Fayette, MO on March 22, 1943, the daughter of Clarence and Trella (Gibson) Felten. Maggie worked as a nurse for a number of years, providing in-home nursing care service. She is survived by companion of 25 years Joe Snoddy, of Fayette, MO; four children, Eddie Chew, of Fayette, MO, Robin Henderson, of Boonville, MO, Patricia Ivy, of New Franklin, MO, and Donnie Lusby, of Franklin, MO; two sisters, Marie Loesing, of Franklin, MO and Geraldine Finley, of Ashland, MO; two brothers, Frankie Felten and Clarence Felten, Jr., both of Fayette, MO; she is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Harold Chew, Maggie was preceded in death by a son, Danny Chew, and four siblings. A funeral service will be held 11 AM, Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette, with Rev. Harold Young officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Burial will follow the service at Fayette City Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Fayette City Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.
