Mariettia Lewis, passed away at Blessing Hospital in Qunicy, IL on September 12, 2017. She was 56 years of age. Mariettia Estella Lewis was born in Glasgow, MO, March 19, 1961, the daughter of Bruce and Lillian (Cason) Lewis. Mariettia graduated from Hickman High School in Columbia, MO. She's held numerous jobs but primarily worked in the health care system as a nursing assistant. She is survived by two sons, Byron Lewis of Quincy, IL and Derrell Lewis of Columbia, MO; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Harris of Columbia, MO and Jacque Smith of Glasgow, MO; seven brothers, Leroy Lewis of Columbia, MO, Arthur Lewis, Ronald Lewis, Richard Lewis, Stanley Lewis, Luther Lewis, and Leonard Lewis. Mariettia is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held in Ms. Lewis's honor 11 AM, Monday, September 18, 2017 at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Columbia, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to go towards funeral expenses, in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service, 112 Market St., Glasgow, MO 65254.
