Mary Terrill

Mary Terrill, 69, of Florissant, MO, passed away suddenly as a result of a hit run accident on July 3, 2023.

Mary Louise Terrill was born January 8, 1954 in Slater, MO, a daughter to Herman and Isabell (Brown) Terrill.  Although Mary was the second child out of ten children, she was the eldest sister!  Mary had a passion for fishing, sports and writing poems.  Mary loved the Lakers as well as playing softball for the Soul Sister’s from Salisbury.  She was an awesome third baseman, but could play anywhere on the field.  Mary graduated from Glasgow High School with the class of 1972 and went on to Tulsa Job Corps where she studied welding.

On October 14, 1978, Mary gave birth to twins, Nicholas and Nicole.  In 1979, Mary relocated to Santa Barbara, California, where she worked for the city of Santa Barbara until she retired in January of 2006.  After her retirement, she moved back to Missouri, this time, to Ferguson.  Mary did not stay retired for long, in 2008 she began working at Nantucket Garden until January, 2023.

Mary was preceded in death by her son, Nicholas Terrill, her father, Herman Terrill and sister, Teresa Jackson.  Those left to cherish her memory are, her daughter, Nicole (Asmar) Hameen, her mother, Isabell Terrill, her sisters, Marcine, Sally, Crystal, Karen and Andrea, brothers, Phillip, William (Tammy), Alan (Delene), Anthony and Stacy (Ruthie), brother-in-law, Garry Jackson, grandson, D’Andrae Terrill and lifelong friend, Bessie McDonald, both of the home, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

A funeral service honoring Mary’s life will be 11 AM, Saturday July 15, 2023 at the Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow with Rev. Garry Jackson officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in Roanoke Cemetery.

Memorial are suggested to the Roanoke Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
