Glasgow, MO resident, Mike White, age 82, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025.

Harold William White, affectionately known to all family and friends as Mike White, was born December 27, 1942 in Forest Green, MO.  He was one of seven children born to the late William Roy and Inez (Davis) White.  Mike was a 1962 graduate of Salisbury High School, where he excelled in athletics.  Mike was an excellent basketball player, and he set school records in track and field.  On July 10, 1965, Mike married the love of his life, Mary Dibble, at Lewis Chapel in Glasgow, MO.  This coming July would have marked the couples’ 60th wedding anniversary.  Mike was a hard-working man and held multiple jobs throughout his career.  He worked as a truck driver, hauling grain for local farmers.  He was an experienced welder for Standard Havens for several years.  Mike primarily worked in Missouri River civil engineering as a dragline operator for Ellis Construction.  He retired in 1993.  In his spare time, Mike enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening.  Mike was the neighborhood fix-it man, and many children looked up to him.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and spoiling his pet dogs.  Mike was a faithful member of Forest Green First Baptist Church.

He leaves to mourn his wife of the home, Mary White; son, DeShannon White of Glasgow, MO; three grandchildren, Kynleigh, Deyton and Damien; sister, Mary Irene White of Forest Green, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby Joe White, LeRoy “Jr.” White and Gerald White, and two sisters Martha Laurine Warrick and Mike’s twin sister, Helen Wilma White.  He was also preceded in death by a nephew, William Keith “Billy Joe” White.

A funeral service honoring the life of Mr. White will be 11 AM, Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow, with Rev. Earl Howell officiating.  Visitation will be an hour before the service starting at 10 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the service at Lincoln Cemetery.
