Fayette resident, Nick Taylor, age 58, passed away June 27, 2024 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.

Nicholas Gail Taylor was born September 16, 1965 in Fayette, MO.  He was one of three children born to the late Gail and Virginia Ann “Snookie” (Johnmeyer) Taylor.  He graduated from Fayette High School with the class of 1983.  Nick was a handyman and could fix just about anything.  He worked on the family farm, tending to livestock.  He also worked for Johnmeyer’s Construction for a number of years.  Nick primarily worked as an auto mechanic working in auto repair and maintenance for T&T Auto Salvage.  On May 5, 2012, Nick married Melinda “Linnie” Sweezer on the family farm.  In his free time, Nick enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.  Nick was a devoted and active member of River of Life Assembly of God Church in Boonville, MO.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Linnie Taylor; three children, Ian, Terry and Chelsea Taylor; three step-children, Joshua Windsor, Dakota Henderson and Austin Henderson; four grandchildren, Amelia, Amarrah, Jax and Ryker; and sister, Trish (Tyra) Elliott of Fayette.  Nick is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  In addition to his parents, Nick was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Taylor.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held 2 PM, Friday, July 5, 2024 at River of Life Assembly of God Church in Boonville, MO, with Pastor Larry Fencl officiating.
