Armstrong, MO resident, Pam Owen, 64, passed away suddenly at her home on May 8, 2023.

Pamela Kay Owen was born January 2, 1959 in Randolph County, MO, a daughter to the late Ola G. and Helen L. (Engle) Phelps.  She attended and graduated from Keytesville High School.  Immediately out of school Pam started her nursing career at Chariton Park Health Care Center in Salisbury, MO.  She worked as a nurse for Chariton Park until 1988.  On May 21, 1988, Pam married the love of her life, Harley Owen, at Richland Christian Church, south of Glasgow, MO.  Pam and Harley have enjoyed nearly 35 years of marriage.  Pam also owned and operated Pammy’s Place of several years.  It was a local restaurant in Armstrong that drew numerous patrons.  In her spare time, Pam enjoyed camping, fishing and taking care of her pets.

Survivors include her husband, Harley Owen of Armstrong, MO; two siblings, Patty (Larry) Hoeft of Jefferson City, MO and Paul Phelps of Mexico, MO; sister-in-law, Susan (Danny) Brady of Fayette, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside memorial service will be 1 PM, Saturday, May 20, 2022 at Pulliam Cemetery, with Rev. Harold Young officiating.
