Armstrong, MO resident, Trish Hammons, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home on March 29, 2025.

Patricia Jean Hammons was born November 6, 1944 in Moberly, MO.  She was a daughter to the late Anthony and Elinora Mary “Noramae” (Heddinghaus) Flaspohler.  Trish spent time studying at the Benedictine Sisters of Mount St. Scholastica.  She later earned her high school degree from Moberly High School.  Trish furthered her education earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of St. Mary in Leavenworth, KS.  On June 22, 1968, she married the love of her life, Leon Hammons, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Moberly, MO.  The couple have enjoyed over 56 years of marriage.  Trish spent her career working in education as an elementary teacher in the Moberly School District, and later often subbed for St. Mary School in Glasgow.  Trish was a devout Catholic and member of St. Mary Parish, where she enjoyed singing with her choir group.  When she was able, she enjoyed gardening, canning and long walks on the family farm.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Survivors include her husband of the home, Leon Hammons; four children, Lisa (Stephen) Murrell, Teresa “Terri” Crutcher, Sara (Robert) Herrington, and Paul (Renee) Hammons; 10 grandchildren, Caitlin Hammons, Kylee (Jordan) Enyeart, Kellen (Belle) Murrell, Zachary Crutcher, Brooklyn Hammons, Gretta Murrell, Hannah Crutcher, Jacob Simpson, Logan Hammons, and Mary Herrington; three great-grandchildren, Presley, Penelope and Jamie; four siblings, Julie Lang, Ellen Flaspohler, Beth Flaspohler and Leo Flaspohler.

Visitation will be 5-7 PM, Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow.  A prayer service and Rosary will take place prior to the visitation at the funeral home, with a prayer service starting at 4:15, and the Rosary starting approximately 4:30 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM, Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at St. Mary Church in Glasgow, with Fr. Joshua Duncan officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Washington Cemetery.
