Glasgow resident, Patty Hellebusch, age 71, passed away suddenly at her home on April 27, 2026.
Patricia Ann Hellebusch was born June 15, 1954 in Boonville, MO, a daughter to the late Melvin Edward and Dorothy (Brucks) Holtwick. Patty attended St Joseph High School in Salisbury, MO for 3 years until it closed. She transferred to Glasgow High School and graduated with the class of 1972. She furthered her education, earning an associate’s degree in nursing from Moberly Area Community College. This would become the start of Patty’s nursing career, spanning 50 years. She worked as an LPN for Keller Hospital in Fayette for 20 years, and as an RN for the University of Missouri Hospital for 20 plus years. When she was able, Patty enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and tending to her garden. She also enjoyed quilting and had a love for animals, especially her pet dogs and cats.
Survivors include her four siblings, Karen (Charlie) Monnig of Glasgow, Cindy Holtwick, and Judy Holtwick, all of Glasgow, MO, and Roger Holtwick of Otterville, MO; niece, Donna (Jason) Vega of Loveland, CO, niece, Kathy Monnig of Columbia, MO, and nephew, Adam (Candice) Monnig of Armstrong, MO. She is also survived by numerous great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 11 AM, Friday, May 22, 2026 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour before the service at the funeral home starting at 10 AM. An Irish wake will be celebrated at Friemonth’s Landing immediately following the services.
