Paul Felten, age 64, passed away on July 6, 2026, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St Louis, MO.

Paul Eugene Felten was born on May 17, 1962, in Fayette, MO.  He was one of five children born to Frankie Eugene and the late, Mildred Sue (Hill) Felten.  Paul graduated from Fayette High School with the class of 1980.  Paul furthered his education, earning several certifications for the various job titles he held.  Most notably, Paul worked for the City of Fayette for 20 years.  Over the course of his tenure with the city, Paul worked his way up to water and sewer supervisor.  Most recently, Paul worked for Remsel Construction in Columbia, MO as a heavy equipment operator.  Paul married Marilyn Stettler in Sullivan, MO on September 8, 2007, and the couple have enjoyed over 19 years of marriage.  Paul liked mowing and tending to his lawn, and working on engines and trucks.  He was also a volunteer fire fighter for Fayette for a number of years. 

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Felten; father, Frankie Felten; two children, Amanda Swearingen, and Michael Felten; 21 grandchildren and one great-grandson, Sterling; four siblings, Kathy Innes, Darrell Felten, Frankie Dean Felten and Pamela Robertson.

A funeral honoring the life of Mr. Felten will be 11 AM, Saturday, July 11, 2026 Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette, with Pastor Larry Fencl officiating.  Visitation will be an hour before the service starting at 10 AM at the funeral home.  Interment will follow services at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
