Phillip Monnig 1957 - 2015 Glasgow resident, Phillip Monnig died at his home in Glasgow. He was 58 years of age. Phillip Loren Monnig was born February 18, 1957 in Poplar Bluff, MO to Herbert P. and Helen Elizabeth (Crain) Monnig. He was a 1975 Glasgow High School graduate. He worked for the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad for seven years. He later worked as a sales representative for Major Brands out of Columbia, MO for 28 years. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, fishing on the Missouri River and spending time with his two sons. Phillip is survived by his two sons, Braden and Blake Monnig of Columbia, MO, one sister, Libby Rees of Sarasota, FL, three nephews, Bradley, Justin and Bryan Rees of Florida and many relatives and friends. There will be a memorial service 2:30 PM, Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow with Rev. Karen Alden officiating. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Family's Choice in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service.
