Long time Glasgow resident, Raymond Anderson passed away at Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO on April 5, 2016. He was 94 years of age. Raymond Edward Anderson was born on January 22, 1922 in Quote, MO to Fredrick and Lena (Batchelar) Anderson. He married Mildred Huber on August 14, 1943. Together they have enjoyed over 72 years of marriage. Over the years Raymond has held numerous jobs. He worked at a paper mill, drove a tanker truck that hauled aviation fuel for 15 years, and also worked as a custodian for Glasgow Schools from 1972 to 1985. He loved the outdoors and fishing and camping were his favorite hobbies. He is survived by his wife, Mildred, of the home; daughter, Donna (Robert) Young of Glasgow; son, Don (Marilyn) Anderson of Blue Springs, MO; three grandsons, Tim and Scott Young and Nathan Anderson; two granddaughters, Shelley Dotson and Becky Boyd; five great-granchildren, Riley and Noah Dotson, and Austin and Addison Boyd and Brooklyn Anderson. Besides his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Funeral services for Mr. Anderson will be held 1:30 PM, Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow, with Rev. Harold Young officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bogard, MO. Memorial contributions may be made out to Family's Choice, in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home.
