Stanley Conger, 88, passed away in Charleston, MO on November 25, 2016. Stanley Earl Conger was born on November 9, 1928 in Farber, MO to George Henry and Verna (Volmer) Conger. Stanley graduated from Glasgow High School. He worked at Kellwood Factory for a number of years. Stanley also served in the United States Navy. He is survived by a son, Tom Conger of Gilliam, MO; two daughters, Beth Rife of Marshall, MO and Rebecca Holman of Cole Camp, MO; two sisters, Martha Keller of Glasgow, MO and Ruth Pauley of Rincon, GA; brother, George Conger of Sweet Springs, MO; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Conger. A memorial graveside service was held May 29, 2017 at the Gilliam Cemetery in Saline County with Rev. Karen Alden officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Glasgow United Methodist Church.
