Tad Atterbury passed away at his home in Fayette, MO on November 7, 2016. He was 45 years of age. Tad Smith Atterbury was born in Olathe, KS to Arthur and Nancy (Yeager) Atterbury on February 12, 1971. He graduated from Olathe North High School. Tad worked as a hair dresser in the health and beauty industry. Tad was a true family treasure and was fondly referred to as "Tadpole" by most. He had an infectious personality and hilarious sense of humor which drew the world to him. He was inventive, artistic and creative in all things. He had a heart of gold and even in times of trouble, he would lift his head in humility to get back on track. We will all miss this man but he will forever be in our fondest memories. He is survived by three sisters, Cindy Choplin of Grandview, MO, Lesly Cook of Lake Balboa, CA and Lorena Hadsall of Ottawa, KS; three brothers, Charles Atterbury of Paola, KS, Jesse Atterbury and Brad Atterbury, both of Olathe, KS; he is also survived by his partner, Tommy Whitesides of Fayette, MO. In addition to his parents, Tad was preceded in death by one sister, Melanie Durrell-Scrivner. A memorial service will be held 10 AM, Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Tad's home, 400 S. Watts, Fayette, MO.
