Armstrong resident, Vickie Yung, age 76, passed away suddenly at her home on May 29, 2025.

Vickie Sue Yung was born December 18, 1948 in Moberly, MO.  She was the only child born to the late Harold and Gertrude (Dameron) Ware.  Vickie was a graduate of Higbee High School with the class of 1966.  Out of high school Vickie began work at Moberly Car Auction, driving vehicles to and from Chicago, Il and Kansas City, MO, for Ray and Maxine Stinnett.  Vickie then went to work for AB Kelly Motors in Moberly, MO.  It was there where she met the love of her life, Donald Edward Yung, and they were married in Moberly on November 17, 1976.  The couple enjoyed 46 years of marriage together until Donald’s passing on March 13, 2023.  Vickie spent nearly her entire career in the banking industry working as a bank teller.  She worked at Higbee Savings Bank, then moved to Central Bank (formerly City Bank) in Huntsville, for approximately 25 years.  Vickie came out of retirement, and for the past 20 years has been working for Exchange Bank.  Vickie also kept financial records for Yung’s Body Shop for the past 47 years.  Vickie was a longtime member of the Mid MO Cruisers.  She enjoyed trips to the flea market, playing her Gold Fish Slots game, and loved going out to eat with friends.  She especially cherished and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Cody (Rebecca) Yung, of Armstrong, MO; four step-children, Donna Engle, Penny McCurry, Paul (Megan) Yung and Robyn (Chris) Bennett; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson on the way.  In addition to her parents and husband, Vickie was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alexandrea Nation.

Visitation will be 9-11 AM, Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow.  Family and Friends will share remembrances and stories following the visitation at the funeral home, starting at 11 AM.
