Wanda Shiflett Obituary

Wanda Lee Shiflett, 67, of Armstrong, Missouri, entered into her eternal heavenly home on January 16th leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family.

Wanda was an amazing mother—steadfast, nurturing, and always dependable.  Her children could always count on her, no matter the circumstance. She loved fiercely and selflessly, and her guidance, strength, and unconditional support shaped the lives of those she loved most.  Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was the proud owner and operator of Altered Images for many years, where she took great care of her clients, ensuring they left with beautifully polished nails and full hearts.  More than a nail technician, Wanda was a trusted listener and a dear friend to each person who sat in her chair.  Before owning her own business, she dedicated many years working at the University of Missouri.

Wanda found joy in gardening, a passion reflected in her beautiful flowers and thriving plants.  She also cherished simple moments—especially spending time with her husband, Dean.  Together they loved impromptu dancing and quiet evenings sitting on the back porch, soaking up God’s blessings and the life they built together.

To all who knew and loved her, Wanda had a smile that lit up the room and she also had a bit of spice—proof that dynamite truly does come in small packages.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dean Shiflett; her daughter, Amanda Ruppel (Jason); her son, Clayton Suhrbier; and her stepson, Anthony Shiflett (Katie).  She is also survived by her eight grandchildren; Keaira Libhart (Cameron), Shelby Ruppel, Isaiah Black, Bryson Suhrbier, Rylan Suhrbier, Matthew Shiflett, Caleb Shiflett, and Easton Shiflett and two great-grandchildren; Lillianna Black and Jansen Libhart; her mother, Loretta Bias; her brother, Joey Bias; and her sisters, Cathy Smith, Lisa Maupin, and Missy Shiflett.

Wanda was preceded in death by her daddy, J.C. Bias, and her sister, Dottie Waller.  What a beautiful reunion that must have been.
