Glasgow, MO resident, Sonny Lynn, age 83, passed away peacefully at his niece’s home in New Franklin, MO on February 4, 2024.

Wilburn Ray Lynn was born in Glasgow, MO on November 13,1940.  Sonny was one of eight children born to the late William O. and Ila Ruth (Bentley) Lynn.  Sonny spent his career as a self-employed laborer, primarily in the demolition and construction industries.

Survivors include his six children, Charlie (Michelle) Lynn of Broken Arrow, OK, Bo Lynn of Glasgow, MO, Mark (Tammy) Lynn of Arkansas City, KS, Ruth (Tom) Russell of Salina, KS, Lucinda Lynn of Wichita, KS and Sara Lynn of Wichita, KS; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rosa Mae (Wayne) Jackson of Independence, MO and Violet (Lee) Johnson of Keytesville, MO.  Sonny is also survived by a special great-niece, Mary Lynn of Glasgow, MO and former spouse, Racine Lynn of Arkansas City, KS.  In addition to his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by five siblings, Jimmy Lynn, Billy Lynn, Wanda Waters, Martha Jones and Betty Simmons.

There will be a celebration of life held at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
